Our vision for reconciliation is to build deeper connections with the Whadjuk Noongar peoples, Elders and community through our ongoing reconciliation journey. We will consult with local community members to develop our understanding of the cultural protocols and perspectives within our area. This includes continued relationships with culturally appropriate resource providers and local Noongar Elders and community leaders. Our ongoing journey has moved towards a deeper understanding of reconciliation and actions that come from the heart. We believe that genuine inclusivity is essential to reconciliation and relationships between Australia’s First Nations peoples and non-Indigenous people. We have started to connect our own school values of Take Care, Fair Go, Stand Up and Give It Your Best when including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives within our curriculum and daily teaching practices. We continue to develop within our school a caring and inclusive environment. We will continue to provide respectful places and resources to recognise, celebrate and embrace the richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
