VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Avenues Runcorn Heights, our vision for reconciliation is centred on respect, understanding, and genuine connection with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, recognising them as the First Nations peoples and Custodians of this Land. We respect their cultures, histories, knowledge systems, and ongoing contributions. We are committed to respectfully embedding this understanding into our everyday practice and curriculum.   We believe reconciliation is strengthened when all First Nations cultures are welcomed, voices are heard, and learning occurs through deep listening, togetherness, reciprocity, and mutual respect.   We acknowledge that reconciliation is an ongoing journey that requires reflection, learning, and action. We are committed to creating inclusive and equitable opportunities for all, while respectfully acknowledging the diversity and uniqueness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures.   Through meaningful relationships and shared experiences, we will continue to share our vision for reconciliation with educators, children, families, and the wider community. Together, we strive to walk alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with humility and purpose, contributing to a future that is inclusive, respectful, and strengthened by our shared commitment to understanding,  unity and reconciliation.
