Our vision for reconciliation is a nation where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, histories and voices are acknowledged, respected, and valued as the foundation of Australia. We recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we learn, play and grow. We acknowledge First Nations peoples enduring connections to land, waters, skies, culture and community, and we honour the strength and resilience of the worlds oldest continuing cultures. As an early learning service, we believe reconciliation begins in childhood. Guided by the principles of Respect, Relationships and Opportunities, and aligned with the framework of Reconciliation Australia, we are committed to meaningfully and authentically embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples perspectives within our curriculum, policies and daily practices.
We foster curiosity, understanding, and engagement with in Australias shared histories and the diversity of First Nations peoples and cultures in all children. We continue to build strong and respectful partnerships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We ensure our educators develop the cultural responsiveness and confidence needed to truthfully teach Australian history and celebrate First Nations peoples and cultures with integrity. We contribute to current and future generations that value equity, justice, and mutual respect.
We recognise that reconciliation is an ongoing process of learning, reflection, and action. Through our Reconciliation Action Plan, we are committed to continued growth, accountability, and meaningful engagement that supports healing, strengthens relationships, and creates opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Together, we seek to raise children who grow up with respect in their hearts, understanding in their minds, and a commitment to walk together toward a reconciled Australia.
