Our vision for reconciliation is to create learning environments where children, families, and educators have opportunities to develop deep respect for Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander peoples histories, cultures and perspectives. We are committed to building strong, respectful relationships with First Nations peoples in the local community and learning about how meaningfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, voices, stories, and knowledge systems throughout our curriculum and everyday practices.
Through inclusive programs, cultural learning experiences, and community connections, such as welcoming Elders, participating in smoking ceremonies, and acknowledging Country, we will continue to foster a sense of belonging and appreciation for the worlds oldest continuing cultures. We will continue to create a culturally, responsive, safe and inclusive space for everyone, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and staff, where their identities are respected, valued, and celebrated.
By continuing to support children to engage in age-appropriate learning about fairness, justice, equity and truth telling, we support the current and next generation to become compassionate, informed and inclusive citizens. Our ongoing commitment to reconciliation will help strengthen relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and community members and non-Indigenous peoples and community members, contributing to a more united and respectful future for all Australians.
At Active Kids Group, we respectfully value the rich traditions, knowledges, and ongoing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We are committed to learning, growing, and contributing to a reconciled Australia.
