Immanuel Primary School and Immanuel Early Learning Centre recognise and respect the rich cultures, histories and diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We acknowledge that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have lived, learned and cared for this Land for tens of thousands of years, and we recognise the injustices that have occurred since colonisation.
Our school community is committed to the ongoing journey of reconciliation by building understanding, respect and meaningful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
We strive to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, knowledges and cultures into our learning and teaching so that all students, staff, families and the wider community develop a deeper appreciation of Australia's shared histories.
Located on Kaurna Country, we honour the Kaurna people as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the Land on which our school stands. Through collaboration with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, we aim to strengthen relationships, celebrate culture, and walk together in understanding, respect and trust as we contribute to a more reconciled future.
