VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Busy Bees at Glenroy, we are dedicated to learning about and acknowledging Australias true historiesy and the continuing effects experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today. We are committed to reconciliation and recognise that Early Years Education is crucial to a reconciled nation, as we work towards embedding cultural safety and social justice in all aspects of our service.  As passionate educators, we strive to further our own knowledge, educate our children and families, and provide a culturally safe and inclusive environment for all, in a visible and respectful way. Reconciliation to our service means developing strong and respectful relationships between our broader communities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and encouraging to bridge the gap between Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander people and non-Indigenous Australiansensuring equal and equitable educational outcomes and opportunities for all.  We recognise the crucial role that we play as educators in guiding current and future generations in Australia towards reconciliation. We support the children, families, and community to deepen their understanding and knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures, perspectives, histories, and present contributions through daily practices and intentional teaching opportunities.
