Our vision for reconciliation is to create a place that fosters equity, equality, and unity, strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all Australians. Over the first 18 months of our reconciliation journey, we have focused on deepening our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures and perspectives through meaningful learning and respectful relationships with First Nations people in our community.
We will continue to seek opportunities to build genuine and maintain relationships with Traditional Custodians, Elders and members of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, recognising their vital role as cultural leaders. We will continue to strengthen these relationships by listening, learning and engaging respectfully, to ensure all relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and our service are built on trust and understanding.
We are committed to acknowledging, honouring and amplifying the voices of the First Nations peoples of this place we now call Australia, and we recognise reconciliation as an ongoing journey that requires continuous learning, unlearning and relearning, reflection and action, now and into the future.
