Together, with our holistic community, the team at Ekidna Dee Why school strive to embed true reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders, Community and Emerging Leaders of tomorrow. Our belief of reconciliation is about holistically embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our philosophy and practices. This adheres to our continuous growth and development to demonstrate and nurture respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and traditions, ensuring our centre is a place where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are welcome. The foundation of Create, Imagine, Learn Kiama Downs has been laid on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, we acknowledge and pay an abundance of respect to the understanding through the transformational relationships with the local Aboriginal community. To enhance our centre and provide enrichment to the lives of all our children we empower our children with truth telling of our heritage.
