VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Inaburra Preschools vision for reconciliation is to actively respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, both past and present. We continue to seek opportunities to deepen our knowledge and understanding of the Dharawal people and the Land, that our preschool is on, and respectfully share these learnings with our children and families. We respect the cultures and values of First Nations peoples of Australia and are committed to working towards a reconciled Australia where First Nations peoples have the same equal and equitable educational and wellbeing outcomes and opportunities as non-Indigenous people. Our Educators respectfully include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures, perspectives,  and histories within our learning experiences. We are committed to working in collaboration with First Nations families and local Elders as we ensure the service is a culturally safe place for everyone. We envision that the local non-Indigenous community will learn about and respect Dharawal peoples perspectives and experiences as the children grow into knowledgeable young people and pass their learnings and understandings of reconciliation onto future generations.
