At Bullfrog Children's Centre, we proudly acknowledge the Gweagal people of the Dharawal Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we learn and play. We pay our deepest respects to Elders past and present, and to the Gweagal people who have cared for these bushlands and the waters of the Woronora River, Heathcote Creek and Port Hacking River for generations. Our vision for reconciliation is to cultivate a community where Dharawal culture, stories, and language are celebrated and embedded into the daily lives of our children. We are committed to fostering a culturally safe and inclusive environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families feel a profound sense of belonging and empowerment. We pledge to walk a path of historical acceptance and truth-telling, actively unlearning biases and growing our understanding of the diverse perspectives of First Nations peoples. By nurturing genuine relationships with our local community and organisations like Sutherland Shire Reconciliation, we aim to lay a foundation of equity and social justice for a shared future on Dharawal Country
