VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

The community at St Paul's OSHC acknowledge and value the heritages, traditions and continuing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We recognise our shared past and commit to working together, towards a shared future in which all people are treated with dignity, respect and are provided equal and equitable opportunities.

Our goal is to establish a strong connection with First Nations peoples, as well as to build a strong knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories, perspectives and cultures amongst our educators, children, families, school and the wider community. Our educators ensure our children, as our future community leaders, develop knowledge, understanding and respect for the perspectives and aspirations of the local Wodi Wodi people, and diverse Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures across Australia.

We work towards a future where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are actively recognised as being the First Nations peoples of Australia; a future where all Australians acknowledge, and embrace, the Elders past, present and future for the wisdom and knowledge they hold. We are committed to contributing to an Australia where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, children and families feel a sense of belonging and strong connections with community and Country.
