At My Cubby House Early Learning we will continue to work together with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and the Kombumerri community, to create to a truly reconciled country by striving to understand, respect and acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s cultures, perspectives, and histories. Our journey to reconciliation inspires us to support educators, children, families, and community to make a difference by actively engaging in reconciliation and respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our daily routines, programs and educating, consistently reflecting on our journey to reconciliation and updating our families on our goals and progress towards reconciliation. Our vision for reconciliation is to build meaningful relationships with the local Kombumerri community of the Yugambeh Language Region to support us in deepening our understanding of reconciliation. Reconciliation for My Cubby House Early Learning means acknowledgment and to pay respect to the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we live on and recognising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the First Peoples of this nation, ensuring we are providing equal and equitable educational and wellbeing outcomes and opportunities.
