We will always nurture and value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories and cultures within our service and within our local community. We are committed to learning about what it means for us to create a culturally safe environment, by engaging in ongoing reflective practice and engaging in conversations with our community to ensure we are being culturally responsive in our approach. We will continue to embrace Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives within our service as part of our daily practice and within our relationships and interactions with children, families and First Nations community members. DOur vision is for all children and families who are a part of our learning community , to be confident in what it means to be respectful of the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities and how to authentically embed this into pedagogy and practice. . As an extension of this, we will continue to develop an understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s heritage locally and within our service, thus strengthening the ways we work towards a united and rich cultural Australian Nation.
