VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Explore & Develop Leichhardt our vision for reconciliation is to maintain a space where we can set the foundations for Children, Educators, Families, and our wider community to develop a deeper understanding, and appreciation of and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples’ cultures and histories.  Through respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our daily learning and ongoing practices, we will deepen the knowledge and understanding of First Nations peoples and cultures in our service.  We instil values of community through collaborative relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and by recognising and celebrating the achievements of Australia’s First Nations peoples, both past and present, and continue our learning and exploration. Through the foundations of care and respect, we continue to learn from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ deep connections to Country.
