At Explore & Develop Leichhardt, our vision for reconciliation is to create an environment where children, educators, families, and the wider community can build a deeper understanding, appreciation, and respect for the cultures and histories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
By thoughtfully incorporating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our daily learning and practices, we aim to enhance the knowledge and awareness of First Nations cultures within our service. We foster a sense of community through strong, collaborative relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, while recognising and celebrating the achievements of First Nations Peoples, both past and present.
We remain committed to continuous learning and exploration, grounded in care, respect, and the deep connections Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to Country. We hope to actively engage with local community organisations and businesses to foster a more inclusive, and equitable community.
We hope and believe that we can walk together into a place of reconciliation, where we have justice, partnership, equity, and truth.
