We at Kidz Retreat recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the Traditional Owners of this Land. We want Australia to be a place of equity, equality, dignity and respect.
We aim to respectfully incorporate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our early learning programs and everyday practices.
We will continue to build our relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within our community and actively on a daily basis, to pay respects to the Traditional Custodians of this Land.
Our Centres journey and visions for Reconciliation so far has been built in a positive and respectful manner. Kidz Retreat are excited to share all we have achieved in our centres Reconciliation plan. We as a centre have achieved community engagement, Aboriginal culture, history, art and language in everyday practices. Aboriginal employment and traineeship opportunities with Real Futures and commissioned local Aboriginal artists to design uniforms celebrating the Yamatji people and Kidz Retreat's connection and respect
