Rainbow Child Care Centres vision for reconciliation is for everyone, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to feel welcome, to have a sense of belonging, and for it to be a place where everyone’s ideas are shared and acknowledged. We value the Boodja (Land) we are on as an important gathering area/site of the Menang People. through our continual learning, unlearning, and relearning alongside the local and wider community we believe we can achieve this sense of belonging. We are committed to supporting educators to gain further knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torre Strait Islander cultures, through understanding the true history of Australia and how their ongoing resilience and contributions. We will pass this knowledge on to children and families in our care, providing an environment where all children can develop to their full potential at their own pace and in their own way.
