Our vision for reconciliation to us means walking together with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the local and wider community by actively seeking out and fostering meaningful relationships. We will continue to share, learn, listen to the many diverse Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices and respect each other and Country. We will embrace the true histories and perspectives of the Traditional Owners of this Land, to deepen our cultural understanding.
In the spirit of reconciliation, SDK will continue to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures into our Kindy life so that SDK educators, children, families and the wider community proudly learn about their Tampinthi ('respect' in Kaurna language) and cultural understandings, blowing on the spark of reconciliation so that together we can keep the fire burning into the future.
