At Inglewood Childcare and Kindergarten, we believe that reconciliation is the foundation of achieving equity and equality for First Nations children and all children and families.
Through embedding reconciliation practices, we believe in providing a safe space for First Nations peoples and non-Indigenous Australians. We develop understanding and practice of respecting the land, along with one another, through engagement with age-appropriate inclusive pedagogy. Educators acknowledge each child and their own voice and build understanding with inclusive language, experiences and teachings. Our commitment to reconciliation is building our relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and knowledge holders and creating opportunities to create community connections between those living on our land and our centre. We will continue building on our embedded practice through wider perspectives and participation.
