Our vision is for all of our educators at Goodstart Pimpama to continue to actively embrace Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. It is about having a willingness to learn and embrace opportunities to continually develop our knowledge and understanding. It is about developing a wealth of knowledge in how to appropriately embed enriched learning experiences that are meaningful and purposeful for our children, families and staff.
We are committed to strengthening connections and building partnerships based on mutual trust and respect with our local community and Elders who can share in educating our team and children in many areas and aspects. We recognise and respect we need to provide equal and equitable access to education and wellbeing opportunities and outcomes for future generations. We can do this together, hand in hand, and by enacting our vision and mission.
We will continue to embrace unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and other Australians. Reconciliation lives in our hearts and we will educate our children of the future whilst incorporating a sense of being, belonging and becoming at our centre.
We are grateful for the contributions of First Nations representatives on our RAP Working Group, and will continue to leverage the strengths and commitments of the RAP Working Group to drive reconciliation and respectfully and visibly embed it in programming and practice across the service.
