Kids at Home Family Daycare are committed to developing and fostering ongoing respectful and reciprocal relationships with all members of society to create a more reconciled Australia for future generations.
Our vision is to provide a culture of respect and equity for all which will ensure better opportunities and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and foster the ongoing provision of a culturally safe education and care setting where children will develop a strong sense of identity.
As a Family Daycare service with educators in multiple geographical locations across Queensland, we have a unique opportunity to really foster relationships with the local community and educators can immerse the children in opportunities to learn about and connect to the history of the Traditional Custodians of the Land in which they live. Through these experiences, educators are not only able to respectfully embed knowledge of the history gone, but foster an appreciation of the importance of sustainability and of continuing to respect the Land, and the local languages and traditions, for future generations to enjoy, We will continue on the journey of addressing issues of fairness, equity and justice to develop a culture of social justice for all and create a reconciled society for the future.
