We have a vision for reconciliation that sees Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of all Lands across Australia living in communities where culture and knowledge is respected by all. We envision a future of equity, justice, remuneration, honour, care and love for all First Nations peoples.
Our vision is of a harmonious country, where citizens look to the traditional ways of caring for Country, learned and practiced by our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ancestors for tens of thousands of years. Natural and sacred sites are protected, and First Nations Peoples are consulted in matters concerning such places.
We envision an education system wherein children are authentically taught about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and continuing contributions, and wherein children are taught respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures throughout all education settingsOur vision is for the cultures and spirit of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, past and present to flow through Australia’s children, families and educators and creates a bright future of respect and where all children can live in peace and harmony.
