VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Reconciliation is about building respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider Australian community. It means truth-telling, embracing diversity, and educating all generations about our shared history. At Goodstart, Eight Mile Plains our vision is to create a learning environment where First Nations cultures are respected, celebrated, and meaningfully embedded in routine, song, storytelling and daily life. We want every child to grow up proud of who they are, with a strong connection to Country and culture.

Through strong partnerships with our families, educators, and the wider community, including our involvement in the Nangara community of practice, we are committed to embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives across our curriculum. Together, we are creating culturally safe, inclusive spaces that honour the past, promote healing, and nurture respect, equity, and belonging for all.
