'We Belong Family Day Care Services' believes in a strong future for every child. We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Original Owners and Custodians of Lands across Australia. This always was and always will be Aboriginal Land. We recognise that First Peoples cultures and heritages shape the Australia we live in today.   

We are committed to ongoing listening to and learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures and contemporary affairs. We are committed to continued reflection and to critically examining our own beliefs and everyday practices to deepen our understanding of fairness, justice, equality, and equity for First Nations peoples, and of the importance of reconciliation.     

We believe that respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our policies, philosophy and practices is a key tool to advance reconciliation. Through carefully considered and informed practices within our service, we will support reconciliation, foster change and support our work to provide equal and equitable opportunities. Developing children's awareness, knowledge and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, practices, histories and continuing contributions within the context of our community helps support children's ways of being and transforms the ways future generations interact.
