VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our centre's vision for reconciliation is built on deepening the connection and solidifying the bond between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and non-Indigenous people. Our aim as a service is to build meaningful and ongoing relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, to provide a welcoming, respectful and culturally safe environment, where diverse and unique identities and experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people are respected and valued.

We strive to reflect and build on our cultural responsiveness as educators to ensure that we best support the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and children. To provide opportunities for children to celebrate their cultural identities through culturally inclusive programs. We believe and acknowledge that all children benefit and learn from learning on country and from country and that it is up to us as educators to continuously build on our knowledge to ensure that we create shared pride for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and history.
