VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Kindy Patch Elermore Vale, we acknowledge the Awabakal people as the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which our children play, learn, and grow. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging, and recognise the continuing connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Country, culture, and community.

Our vision for reconciliation is to build a learning community that values and acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and contributions as a vital part of Australia's story. Guided by our core values of creativity, kindness, respect, and trust, we aim to foster an environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and all children, families, and educators feel seen, valued, and connected. Through curiosity, play, and shared learning, we seek to create meaningful opportunities for children to develop an understanding and appreciation of the world's oldest living cultures.

We are committed to learning together with the local Awabakal community, listening deeply, and embedding reconciliation into our daily practices and relationships.
