VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Bishop Tyrrell Anglican Preschool, our vision for reconciliation is embedded in the fundamental principles our service strives to achieve every day. True reconciliation builds respectful and reciprocal relationships between First Nations peoples and non-Indigenous people. We believe educating every child on the peoples, histories, and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and promoting an environment of inclusivity, respect, and harmony.

We strive to establish and maintain relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community as we enrich the lives of the children in our service.

We commit to providing equal and equitable educational opportunities for both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous people and celebrating the diversity of First Nations peoples, cultures, histories, and perspectives. We value respectful and inclusive language and terminology related to First Nations perspectives, in particular the Land in which we live, the Awabakal Land. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we play and learn.
