Methodist Ladies' College's vision for reconciliation is to grow a deeper understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and their cultures. We are committed to deep listening and walking together as our communities work towards reconciliation. We are guided by, and work together with local Whadjuk Nyoongar Elders to inform and underpin our language, culture and everyday teaching and curriculum practices. It is through this collaboration that we strive to ensure Methodist Ladies’ College (MLC) remains culturally responsive and welcoming for all students, staff, and visitors. We actively seek opportunities to honour our commitment to reconciliation and celebrate the positive impact our connection with local First Peoples has on the broader school community. Our students and staff engage with local history through sharing and understanding, as well as incorporating local language and place names in our communications. MLC takes responsibility for justice and truth telling.
