Our vision for reconciliation at Cranbourne Day Care and Kindergarten Centre - Green Gully is to maintain a centre where the environments are welcoming, respectful, culturally safe and responsive places for learning. A centre where the relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous people are strengthened by respect, equality and equity. We will continue to ensure there are opportunities for the children, families, educators and community to understand and deepen a rich understanding of First Nations peoples histories. We aim to build relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the local community to build an understanding of the connections Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have with the Land. We will continue to work in collaboration with educators, families and children and the local community to learn about the achievements and continuing contributions of First Nations people in order to build mutual respect. Through maintaining prelateships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the local community and meaningful embedding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our programs and practice, we continue to strengthen our steps we make on our path to reconciliation.
