Cranbourne Daycare and Kindergarten Centre- Oroya Grove's vision for reconciliation is to create a community where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures are acknowledged, represented and respected.
Educators will continue to work towards deepening and creating an environment that nurtures a meaningful understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories and cultures, for both current and future generations of children. We will continue to ensure we are providing opportunities for respectful, genuine partnerships, experiences and opportunities to learn alongside First Nations people in the local community.
We continue to facilitate genuine, trusting, relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, so we may build understanding and knowledge of First Nations peoples, cultures and our shared histories. This, in turn, will ensure there are opportunities to learn, unlearn and relearn about the true histories of the place our service is located on, and reflect on how we respectfully embed First Nations perspectives across our learnings, about our practices and curriculums.
We dedicate ourselves to working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people a future that strengthens the values of inclusiveness, unity, equality, and equity.
