First Early Learning Narre Warren North is committed to actively engaging in reconciliation and fostering respectful, meaningful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, and communities. We recognise reconciliation as an ongoing journey of learning, reflection, and action, and we are committed to creating a culturally safe, inclusive environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, and perspectives are embedded and valued.
Our vision for a reconciled Australia is one grounded in unity, truth-telling, equity, and respect, where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are acknowledged and celebrated as the First Peoples of this land. We believe every child and family has the right to feel a strong sense of belonging and identity within our service.
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our service operates, the Bunurong People, and pay our respects to Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
We are committed to embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives authentically within our curriculum, daily routines, environments, and interactions. This includes intentional teaching, respectful cultural resources, and learning experiences that reflect Bunurong histories, stories, and connections to Country.
We will continue to build and maintain respectful partnerships with local Elders, community members, and Aboriginal organisations to strengthen cultural understanding and guide our practice.
Guided by the Five Dimensions of Reconciliation we commit to ongoing reflection, professional learning, and improvement to ensure reconciliation is embedded in all aspects of our service. At First Early Learning Narre Warren North, we are committed to walking alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with respect, humility, and purpose to support a more inclusive and reconciled future for all.
