Our vision for reconciliation at Auburn West Montessori Academy is to enrich, enlighten and to further educate all educators, families and children within the centre on the importance of reconciliation. Educators, families and children will take this opportunity to develop a strong sense of understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and ways of life within our education program. We value diversity within our service and we will continue to plan experiences that include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives as a way of fostering and encouraging our whole learning community to be active participants to reconciliation. Our Reconciliation Action Plan will be attached to and implemented alongside the weekly planning to eventually form part of our Quality Improvement Plan.
