At Trio Early Learning, our vision is to create an inclusive and culturally responsive environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures are respected, visible, and celebrated. We aim to confidently embed First Nations perspectives into our learning community so that children develop a deep respect for the histories, cultures, and contributions of First Nations peoples. We are committed to building and maintaining respectful, genuine relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members. Through ongoing collaboration and partnerships with First Nations peoples, we will strengthen our connections to community and ensure children have opportunities to engage in authentic cultural learning experiences with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We demonstrate respect by meaningfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples perspectives, histories, and cultures into our everyday curriculum, environments, and routines. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we learn and play and honour the diversity and richness of First Nations peoples and cultures through meaningful and culturally responsive practices. We will create opportunities for children, educators, and families to learn together through authentic experiences that deepen understanding of First Nations peoples histories, perspectives, and cultures. Through professional learning, reflective practice, and community engagement, we aim to build cultural capability and contribute to reconciliation in meaningful and practical ways.
