Our vision for reconciliation at CASS Gumnut Early Learning Centre - Hurstville is to acknowledge and respect the cultures and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within the Eora Nation and throughout Australia. Our service promotes equal and equitable educational opportunities for all children and families, especially Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and children. Through consultation with Aboriginal and Torre Strait Islander peoples in the community we aim to create inclusive policies and practices that focus on fairness, equity, and inclusion of all families, children and educators. Our service supports all educators to learn about and advocate for First Nations peoples, cultures and histories to develop a nation strengthened by respectful relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
