VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision for reconciliation at CASS Family Day Care is to acknowledge and respect the cultures, histories, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, both within the Wangal Nation and across Australia.

We believe in a national culture of equality and equity, where the shared history of Australia is understood and negative race relations are addressed. Reconciliation is about respect, understanding, and building strong, positive relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

As educators, we aim to create culturally safe learning environments that provide meaningful opportunities for children, families, and staff to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and perspectives.

We have a deep and ongoing respect for Aboriginal heritage and recognise sacred sites and special places within our community.
