Kids Patrol Oakey's vision for reconciliation involves honouring and respecting the unique cultural heritage and perspectives of the local First People. We will respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives throughout our Academy and curriculum. We will build meaningful relationships with the local First Nations community and invite Elders and community members to share their knowledge and stories and creating opportunities for children and staff to engage.
By centering First Nations voices and experiences, Kids Patrol Oakey can play a vital role in promoting reconciliation and fostering a sense of belonging and pride for all students.
Kids patrol Oakey's vision of reconciliation aims to integrate First Nations Peoples perspectives into early childhood education, fostering understanding, respect, and collaboration between First Nations People and non-Indigenous communities. It involves creating inclusive and culturally sensitive childcare environments that support First Nation children's holistic development while promoting reconciliation and healing from historical injustices.
