Belmore Montessori Academy

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision for reconciliation at Belmore Montessori Academy is to enrich, enlighten and to further educate all children, families and educators within the centre about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, histories and continuing contributions. We would like educators to explore ways to respectfully incorporate the diverse perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in all aspects of their day and further explore ways they could extend on children’s learning needs, interests and aspirations. We value diversity, honour and celebrate differences to develop knowledge and positive attitudes towards all walks of life including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. For these reasons, we hope to further provide and plan experiences that broaden children, families and educators’ perspectives and encourage them to participate in our reconciliation journey whenever possible.
