Corowa Preschool Association Incorporated

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Corowa Preschool will act in ways that honours, pay respects to, and promotes understanding and knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures within our service and community.

We believe that our lives are enriched by learning and teaching about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and heritages, which we can do through respectful engagement with local communities, their stories, histories, artefacts, languages, excursions, art and music.

When we do this, we will work towards Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all children and families feeling culturally safe and included within the curriculum at Preschool and overcoming inequalities and inequities.

We will challenge ourselves and each other to weave Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in service management, the environment, the program and partnerships with others.

We work towards a positive future for our Community, where even the youngest of children are connected to our First Peoples’ Cultures.
