VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

For us at Radford College ELC, Reconciliation begins with respect. We commit to learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, by opening our eyes to see again, our ears to listen deeply and our hearts to act with kindness.

We seek to provide a respectful environment that values Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures, perspectives, and histories. Walking together is about building relationships that recognise the wide range of diversity and cultural traditions in our community but especially that of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We appreciate the wisdom, strength, and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. At Radford College, we strive to be mindful of Australia’s complex histories and the vast experiences of First Nations peoples.

We promote equal and equitable educational and wellbeing opportunities and bring everyone together in an open-minded way, acknowledging that there is often more than one perspective.

This year, we are deeply inspired by the theme of National Reconciliation Week: Be a Voice for Generations. Our RAP communicates the ways in which we, as a collective, are committed to future generations by tackling the challenges of reconciliation, so that we can make change for the benefit of all Australians.
