Ermington OOSH is committed to reconciliation, recognising and respecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of this land, and honouring their ongoing connections to Country, culture, and community.
We strive to deepen our understanding of, and respect for, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, and perspectives, embedding these knowledges meaningfully into our everyday programs and practices. At Ermington OOSH, we are dedicated to creating a culturally safe and inclusive environment where all children, families, and educators feel respected and valued.
Through our Reconciliation Action Plane actively strengthen relationships, respect, and opportunities between our service and local First Nations communities. We are committed to working in partnership with our broader community to foster long-term, meaningful contributions to reconciliation. Through our practice, we support children to explore and understand fairness, justice, equality, and equity, laying the foundations for a more reconciled future.
We recognise our Reconciliation Action Plan as a living document, and we are committed to ongoing reflection, learning, and growth as we continue our journey towards reconciliation.
