Reconciliation for our early learning service means coming together as a nation and bringing our values together embracing different beliefs and culture. We are committed to nurturing and strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples to benefit young children, families and people in the community. We recognise we need to take action to reach reconciliation in the community and country, starting by furthering our knowledge and understating of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and beliefs as adults so that we can bring ourselves and the people around us, closer together with respect. We hope to achieve respectful integration of First Nations perspectives within our curriculum and daily practice that are available to all children. In our reconciliation journey, we would like to create respectful and reciprocal connections with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members of the community.
