We are committed to showing respect and understanding of First Nations peoples ‘cultures and heritages in order to achieve the outcomes that make a positive difference in the lives of the children, young people- Cultures and perspectives.
Our Reconciliation Action Plan (R.A.P) is an agreed strategy between the stakeholders, Service Manager, all Educators, and community members that use the service. As a service provider to the community members that we have an opportunity partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members and organisations in a culturally appropriate way as we support children to acknowledge the diversity of cultures, history. perspectives, and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander peoples. Imagine Childcare and Kindergarten Fairfield Waters aspiration is that through partnering with local First Nations communities in Townsville and developing culturally appropriate programs, children will build awareness of and drive, reconciliation in our service and wider community
