At Tuggerah OOSH we envision a future where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and voices are valued, respected and woven into the everyday experiences of our children, families and educators. We strive to create a culturally safe and inclusive environment where children develop respect for the worlds oldest continuing cultures and build meaningful connections with the lands, waters and communities on which we live and learn. Through education, partnership and genuine respect, we aim to contribute to a future where reconciliation is lived, understood and embraced by the next generation. We commit to empowering children to be respectful allies for reconciliation by encouraging curiosity, respectful conversations and opportunities for children to share their learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. We commit to creating a culturally safe and welcoming environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and staff feel respected, valued and proud of their identities and cultures.
