For us at Goodstart Campbell Road, reconciliation means a united Australia, where everyone feels safe, respected and never forgotten. It means that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories, cultures and ways of being respected are shared in our early learning centre. And that meaningful reconciliation will involve relationships built on mutual trust, respect and shared understandings.
As part of our reconciliation journey, our next steps involve meaningfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories and perspectives into our daily curricula and routines, sharing learning with our families and wider community.
We are committed to building relationships and engaging with our local Noongar community, we feel this is a true path towards reconciliation and meaningful relationships.
We believe we cannot truly be working towards reconciliation if we are not working in partnership with our local and wider Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
