Kindy Patch Salisbury Heights is committed to building strong foundations and relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders community. We aim to create a sense of belonging to all members of the community in a respectful and inclusive manner.
We acknowledge that we can positively impact current generations to support our local community and Australia, in becoming a reconciled nation. We will work alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to build our knowledge of First Nation peoples’ histories and cultures to share with our children, families and educators bridging the gap to the nation’s history and identity.
Kindy Patch Salisbury Heights is located on Kaurna Land and respectfully incorporates knowledge and understandings of Kaurna peoples’ language, cultures and identity as a part of our curriculum and educate children on the importance of Kaurna people and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their histories.
