VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Kindy Patch Salisbury Heights is committed to building strong foundations and respectful relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. We strive for a sense of belonging for all members of the community within a respectful and inclusive learning environment.   We acknowledge that as educators we can develop the knowledge and the skills that we can positively impact current generations to support the local community and Australia in becoming a reconciled nation.  We will work alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to build our knowledge of First Nations peoples histories and cultures to share with children, families, and educators, bridging the gap in understanding the nations histories and identity.   Kindy Patch Salisbury Heights is located on Kaurna Land and respectfully incorporates the perspectives of Kaurna people as a part of our curriculum. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, and contributions are embedded throughout our programming, learning experiences, and daily practices to ensure that children engage meaningfully with First Nations knowledge, fostering respect, understanding, and connection from an early age.
