It is the vision of Goodstart Early Learning Paralowie Byron Bay to nurture respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous people within our community that will continue to foster reconciliation. Our goal is, for children, educators and families to gain a meaningful understanding and respect of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultures and to recognise the true histories of this country, specifically local Kaurna histories and cultures.
Our desire is to create a place where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and educators feel culturally safe and respected, and where all members of our educational community are encouraged and supported to respectfully engage in a journey of learning, unlearning and relearning about and engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, and perspectives.
