Kaurna miyurnte, Kaurna yarta, nqadlu tampinthi.
We recognise the Kaurna people as the Native Land Title Owners and protectors of this Land.
Our vision for reconciliation at Warradale Community Children's Centre is the active acknowledgement of the Kaurna people as the Traditional Owners and protectors of this Land. We recognise their long and rich connections with this Land and understand it is as important today as it was yesterday and will be tomorrow. We continue to deepen our commitment to reconciliation by working with Kaurna Elders and community to ensure there are opportunities to continue to learn about Kaurna culture. In doing so, we will continue to provide opportunities to strengthen how we respectfully embed Kaurna perspectives through our program in ways that increase our understanding as we work together towards reconciliation.
As a Centre, we acknowledge the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures and therefore strive to build an environment that is welcoming, inclusive and culturally safe.
We will to continue to build strong partnerships with Kaurna people, to deepen our understanding of significant places and Country. We will continue to cultivate a service culture that demonstrates our desire to develop sustainable and respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and Elders and non-Indigenous people.
We are committed to deepening our knowledge of reconciliation by reflecting on our understanding of what it means to show leadership in reconciliation in education. We will do this by building, nurturing and maintaining deeper partnerships and engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, families and individuals, which in turn, will enable us to build a more equal, equitable and harmonious environment.
