Our vision for reconciliation is to engage, support, and encourage the children, families, and educators within our service to learn and develop a strong understanding of, and respect for, the diverse cultures and identities of Australia’s First Nations peoples, and to acknowledge and value the histories, traditions, and continuing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We acknowledge and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia, and we champion quality outcomes in Early Childhood Education and Care to help influence and guide future generations towards reconciliation through respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives, experiences, and contributions in our service practices.
Goodstart Kanimbla continues to provide a welcoming, nurturing, supportive and diverse environment for all that visit or attend our service, providing a sense of belonging within our community.
We acknowledge and invite Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, alongside people of all other cultures, into our service and will foster opportunities for all members of our service community to share their knowledge, histories, and experiences. We will continue building our cultural responsiveness as we continue building respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
