Clearview Early Learning & Bush Kindy’s vision for reconciliation begins with an acknowledgement that we live and play on the Lands of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We believe that building and maintaining meaningful ongoing relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the broader Australian community is fundamental in achieving inclusion of cultural diversity, equality and equity. We believe in teaching children the importance of connection to Land and cultures for First Nations peoples though our programs. Incorporating connection to Country through dadirri and using Yugambeh language more within the centre, with our families and jarjums.
We continue to make strong connections with the Mobo Jarjums networking group to support and enhance our educators knowledge on implementing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives into the program.
