Algester World of Learning recognises reconciliation as building strong, positive and respectful connections between non-Indigenous people and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We recognise, acknowledge and value the cultural histories, heritages, traditions and continuing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Our vision for reconciliation is to provide a culturally safe, supportive and inclusive environment for First Nations and non-Indigenous team, children, families, and community members to come together and unite to make a meaningful positive change towards reconciliation in our local community and beyond.
We will seek to engage and promote First Nations people in our local community; and to also participate in learning experiences to further develop our centres cultural responsiveness.
