VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

In 2026, C&K Arana Hills Kindergartens' vision for reconciliation is to provide and nurture a welcoming and culturally safe and responsive environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and everyone across our community. We will respectfully and meaningfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples perspectives throughout all aspects of education and learning, while ensuring staff are provided with the opportunity to develop their understanding of what it means to and provide a culturally responsive and safe education and care space.

We are committed to building relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community that are meaningful, long-term and respectful. We are committed to ensuring that our centre is a culturally safe space by working in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members, building our cross-cultural understanding, learning new perspectives, and acknowledging the true histories of Australia. We will continue to do this by supporting local initiatives and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses, attending community events, and being open and respectful in how we create and maintain two-way partnerships with First Nations peoples and communities.
